Hong Kong-based home appliance company launches its new multicookers’ range and its top official claims the products will capture significant market share.
Dubai – Recke Industries, a Hong Kong-based home appliance company, forays into the UAE market with the launch of its new multicookers’ range and its top official claims the products will capture significant market share within a year.
“Multicookers of different brands are already available in the UAE but this segment is relatively new and not yet introduced properly in the UAE. That’s the reason these products are not popular in the country,” Recke Industries business development director for Middle East and Africa Suchit Kumar told Khaleej Times.
Kumar mentioned that multicookers as a product category are very popular in Central Asia and Pacific countries. Russia alone witnessed 10 million multicookers sales last year, he added.
“We have a distribution network in more than 20 countries. Our market share for multicookers is between 25 and 30 per cent in different markets of Central Asia,” he said. “We are trying to introduce this concept in a modernised way to sell this product. Our message is that now everyone can cook, specially in significantly reduced time,” he explained. Products will be available at Souq.com and other retailers within a month.
Recke launched four new models of multicookers — the MC-110, MC-150, MC-150 Limited Edition and the high-end MC-X170, which come equipped with 69 cooking programmes, 20 of those are fully automated.
These cookers also come with a detailed step-by-step recipe book for up to 250 recipes, which instantly turns everyone into a master chef.
“We want to change the way people approach cooking, giving them the freedom to create mouth-watering dishes, while giving you the freedom to sit back and relax. Not only that, our device is portable enough for camping-trips or a picnic by the beach,” he said.
An interesting feature that’s included in the mid-range model MC-150 is the 3D heating option that is tailor-made for baking and ensures all-round cooking of almost any food type.
